Access to file denied - JV upload error

Note: this article refers to the SAPgui JV upload function. The preferred method is to use the JV upload feature in Atlas instead.

I am trying to do a JV upload in SAPgui, on Macintosh or Windows, and get an error message: "Access to file is denied." How can I upload the document?

Answer

This error message often indicates that the file you are trying to upload is open for viewing or editing. Close Excel. Then try again to complete the JV upload.
