Opsview

OPS has an Opsview monitoring system set up which can be reached at https://ops.mit.edu or https://opsview-access.mit.edu. All MIT users have read only access. Athentication is handled using shibboleth.

VIEWPORTS

Opsview uses 'keywords' to create custom 'viewports'.  To view a list of avaliable viewports, go to https://ops.mit.edu/viewport.  If you wish to link to a specific viewport, append the viewport name.  For example, to view the DW (datawarehouse) viewport, you would go to:

 https://ops.mit.edu/viewport/DW

Direct URL Access

To get to the page for a specific host in opsview, for example 3down, you can use a URL something like this:

 https://ops.mit.edu/status/service?host=3down

To display only a specific service on that host, for example to check if HTTP is up on 3down.mit.edu, use a URL like this:

 https://ops.mit.edu/status/service?host=3down&servicename=HTTP
