Wi-Fi Calling at MIT
If you are having trouble using your cellular service anywhere on campus, you can connect your device to MIT's wireless network infrastructure to make and receive calls and to send and receive SMS messages using Wi-Fi calling.
- MIT community members: Connect to the MIT SECURE wireless network.
- Others: Connect to the MIT Guest wireless network. Note that registering to use the MIT Guest network requires the ability to receive an SMS message or an email, so we recommend first registering for your MIT Guest credentials while you are in an area where you have an internet connection, either through cellular service or another Wi-Fi network you can access.
Enable Wi-Fi calling on your device. For details about your device, see your service provider's instructions:

- Verizon - https://www.verizon.com/support/wifi-calling-faqs/
- T-Mobile - https://www.t-mobile.com/support/coverage/wi-fi-calling-from-t-mobile
MIT community members with Zoom Phone Service may also make and receive phone calls via their MIT phone number using the Zoom mobile app while connected to the MIT SECURE wireless network.
