Create New Tuition Assistance Request

This documentation refers to the Atlas Online Gateway.
You can access Atlas at https://atlas.mit.edu/

Note: You can submit a reimbursement request for up to one year after the course ends.

1. Enter the following fields to create a new TA request.

Note: An asterisk (*) indicates a required field.

Area of study* Click on the drop-down list box or the down arrow to select an area of study. Use the link in Other Resources below to look up an area of study.
School code Click Search to select the school code.
1. Enter the school name or part of the name in the School Name field; for example, "boston."
2. Click Search on the bottom. A list of schools appears.
Note: Click Exit Searchhelp at any time to leave the "Searchhelp" page.
3. Click the school code on the left to select it. You go to the "Create a New Request for Reimbursement" page.
Tip: If no list of schools appears, try a shorter part of the school's name, such as "bos," or a different part of the name, such as "art," and click Search again.
Note: If you still cannot find your school, first contact the campus Tuition Assistance office to see whether your school qualifies for reimbursement. (See Related Topics below for contact info.) If it does, enter the school name yourself:
1. Type "other" in the School Name field and click Search.
2. Click on the school code "ZZZZ." You go to the "Create New Tuition Assistance Request" page.
3. Type the school's name into the School Name field. This will not add the school to the list, but will create a one-time reimbursement request for that school.
