Search Help--Cost Object

This documentation refers to the Atlas Online Gateway.
You can access Atlas at https://atlas.mit.edu/

To search for a Cost Object Number, enter a partial Cost Object Number or a sequence of characters that appear in the Cost Object's Description. Use an asterisk ( * ) as the wildcard.
Search by Partial Cost Object Number: Enter the part of the number that you know following by an asterisk. For example, entering 11342* will retrieve all cost object numbers that begin with 11342 (1134201, 1134202, etc.)
Search for Characters in Cost Object Description: Enter a string of consecutive letters or numbers that appear in the cost object's description. For example, entering NUCLEAR* would retrieve cost object whose description began with NUCLEAR. Another example: entering BAMASI would retrieve all cost objects where the letters BAMASI appeared anywhere in the description.

  1. Enter your Cost Object or Description search criteria. You can use both - be aware only those objects that match both entries will be retrieved.
  2. Click Search to retrieve and display a list of all matching names.

Re-sort the list by clicking on the column heading.
Select a cost object by clicking on the Cost Object number. The chosen profit center now displays as a search value - you can now click the Search for Cost Object button to retrieve matching cost objects.
Cost Object not listed? Start Another Search by entering new search information.
The Return button closes the Search Help window and brings you back to the eDacca Search Window you came from.
