Atlas Payments & Reimbursements (Atlas RFP)

What is Atlas RFP?

Atlas RFP is an application for submitting payment requests and reimbursement requests by members of the MIT Community for themselves and/or other members of the MIT (students, faculty, staff, consultants).
Note: This new version of RFP was released in June 2025, VPF announcement

How do I get Atlas RFP?

It is available via the MIT Atlas app which can be downloaded from https://apps.mit.edu/ for Windows, MacOS, Android, iOS. There is also a web version of MIT Atlas available at https://app.atlas-apps.mit.edu/ Once you are in Atlas, look for this tile:

How is this different than the legacy RFP application on atlas.mit.edu ?

There are several differences:

  • Atlas RFP moves all expense processing into Coupa.  Cost object and AP approvals will be done in Coupa (similar to PO-backed Invoice approvals)
  • External suppliers will now have to register as an 'RFP Supplier' in the Coupa Supplier Portal where they can be paid by direct deposit. This speeds up the payment process and reduces the dependency on check payments.
  • The app is available on web and native apps for iOS, Android, Windows, MacOS.  Uploading receipts via your mobile device is more streamlined.

Is there training available?
