How can I verify that a scheduled backup completed successfully?

Check the Schedule log after each backup, especially if you have moved to a new computer or a new office.
Start at the end of the log and look for confirmation that the backup completed: Look for the text:
"incremental backup of 'your node name' finished with n failure"
followed by a table of summary statistics.
